What is a Commissionaire?

The term Commissionaire is used to describe security officers in the traditional military style uniform that was first worn by the early operational staff of Corps Security. The Commissionaire uniform is still very much part of Corps Security’s identity and heritage and is proudly worn on many of our clients’ sites throughout the country. For an increasing number of clients, a corporate suit reflecting a softer image is now the preferred choice and the Commissionaire uniform is most frequently used by our Events staff who provide high-profile security for corporate events and special occasions.
