Trevor Spires joined the Corps Security Board in January 2010. Trevor had a long and extremely varied career in the Royal Navy and retired in early 2009 in the rank of Rear Admiral, having spent the last five years as the Chief Executive of the organisation responsible for HR support, including pay and pensions, to all current and former members of the UK armed forces.

Trevor also holds non executive directorships at The National Archives and Hampshire Primary Care Trust. He is also Managing Director of Supporting Strategies Ltd, a change consultancy and is a Gateway Review team leader of the Office of Government Commerce.
