Security services specialist acquires Queensland security supplier
The Corps, one of the UK’s premier suppliers of security services, has further extended its international reach with the acquisition of EPS/UPS, a quality supplier of security in Queensland, Australia. The acquisition was completed on 20th August 2007 and is part of The Corps ongoing strategy to grow its operations in the Asia Pacific region.
The Queensland operation will be run by Carl van den Haspel who has overseen the successful growth of The Corps - Papua New Guinea (PNG). Carl will head up both the PNG and Queensland offices and is supported by a strengthened team with three new appointments in the Asia Pacific region.
“This acquisition is an integral part of The Corp’s strategy to grow our business in the Asia Pacific Region,” said Richard Moule, CEO of The Corps. “We will continue to grow and develop our UK business in conjunction with international development.”
Following the acquisition of EPS/UPS, Andrew Bourke, the vendor and Neil Chalmers have decided to remain with The Corps. Andrew, will now undertake a business development role from the Brisbane office and Neil remains as operations manager.
Andrew Cannock joins as General Manager PNG, from Ela Motors.
EPS/UPS will be known as The Corps – Queensland with immediate effect.
