CORPS SECURITY AND VISEUM UK JOIN FORCES TO PROVIDE THE ULTIMATE SURVEILLANCE SERVICE
As part of its ongoing commitment to working with best-in-class CCTV solutions providers, Corps Security has announced a strategic partnership with Viseum. This mutually beneficial alliance provides customers with a CCTV surveillance solution that combines intelligent automated cameras, with the country’s most advanced remote monitoring service.
Viseum’s Intelligent Moving Camera (IMC) solution utilises multiple fixed and moving surveillance cameras in a single unit that can cover open spaces as large as 14 football pitches. It detects activity in all directions at the same time, automatically controls a pan, tilt, zoom (PTZ) camera, captures high quality close-up and wide contextual view video evidence, and automatically produces it for prompt investigation. Providing both permanent and temporary deployment options, Viseum offers a versatile plug-and-play modular camera installation. It is also cost effective as it reduces wiring and eliminates the need to spend time adjusting camera positions.
Stuart Thompson, Viseum’s managing director, explained, ‘Operating completely independently of central command, the Viseum IMC provides full visibility and control of an entire area using just one single unit instead of what used to be a minimum of five or six separate PTZ camera installations.’
Corps Security will integrate Viseum’s operating software into its state-of-the art Corps Monitoring Centre (CMC), based in Glasgow. The CMC provides third party alarm receiving and CCTV monitoring services to a wide range of customers across many market sectors. Having been recently developed at a cost of £1.5m it is widely acknowledged as the leading facility of its kind in the UK.
By targeting specific market sectors the two organisations will not only be able to provide a flexible 24/7 monitoring solution, but also offer the world’s most vigilant response service. The construction industry, council facilities, hospital car parks and utilities such as water treatment plants and electricity sub-stations all stand to benefit from this offering.
Eric Roberts, Corps Security’s CMC business development director, concluded, ‘Having been aware of Viseum’s innovative product offering for some time, I’m delighted that we have been able to form a strategic partnership. The combination of pioneering technology and our leading remote CCTV monitoring service takes the combating of crime and anti-social behaviour to a whole new level.’
